Ouija Boards Pre 1950
The era of the Ouija was 1940-1950. During this time of uncertainty spiritualism took off as a pastime and séance's, tarot, clairvoyance and the Ouija was hugely popular.
The William Fuld design board had change into a design very similar to the 1960's-1990's boards. The planchette in white plastic evolved in the 1950's prior to that was the wooden planchette.
So too, the boxes read mystifying Oracle as that seemed more its name than Ouija at that time..
The 1940-1950 Fuld Board came in 2 sizes small and large just as they did in the 1960's.
The large 22 inch board was a heavy masonite a quarter of an inch thick!.
The backing was plain and the litho had no borders as the earlier ones did.

Planchette is wood with a minor split . This does not effect the operation, Felt on feet clear lens but brass pin is missing.
