Annabelle, The Haunted Doll story:
Thanks to pioneers into research of the Paranormal Ed and Lorraine Warren and their Museum the story of Annabelle the Haunted doll is disclosed.
Annabelle was a typical Raggerty ann doll that was popular in the USA in the 60's.
Donna was a average college kid living with a room mate Angie her mother purchase Annabelle as a birthday gift that Donna adored, she excitedly took it back to the small unit as anyone would do and placed it on her bed.
It took some time but it was noticed that the doll had moved several time. Like most you would just think this to be imagination but the movements appeared more and more regular.
This continued until it was noticed that the doll had moved from room to room. It would appear leaning against a chair, or sitting on the lounge.
This continues, about 4 weeks later this ghostly
experience went to whole new level, Hand written notes appeared,
messages like, "help us" Help Lou". The paper that the notes
appeared too was not from the unit or surrounds.
More and more alarmed the girls watched with caution, the next event terrified the girls!,
It was noticed that a sticky red substance was starting to appear on parts of the doll, it looked very blood like and the girls knew then they needed help.
A medium was called in and during a séance the name of Annabelle Higgins was the spirit within the doll, Annabelle had lived and died some years before on a property where the unit complex stood today. she wanted to stay with the girls and through the medium Donna invited the spirit to stay with the doll.
Bad move, sometimes like the ouija what you see may not be what it seems.
Earlier in a note the name Lou was used, Now Lou was a male friend of the girls and had been with them on the day this Raggerty Ann doll arrived. Lou was level headed and disliked the doll.
Lou experience with the doll firstly came as a very real dream (or was it) when he was visited by Annabelle only to have the doll crawl up his body and start strangling him to the point of passing out. Lou later recalled this dream as he said it felt so real.
Lou and Angie were planning a short trip, Lou was at the unit with Angie this day. Lou was about to experience an unbelievable event with unimaginable terror.
While looking at some maps a rustling sound was heard from Donnas bedroom. The hairs stood up on his neck and he quietly went to the door, Donna was not home at the time. He waited until silent and entred the room.
Annabelle was lying face down in the corner of the room. He looked around the room turning his back on the doll, then in a moment of terror pain was felt onto his chest a sharp burning pain, as he grasp his chest blood was noticed on his shirt and in panic and terror, he looked down to see what resembled a claw mark on his chest.
As
mentioned in the beginning Ed and Lorraine Warren (Google Them)
became involved in this horrific story. The doll was removed and a
exorcism conducted. The doll today is part of their museum and is on
display there. I thank the web page for the photos of the doll now well
and truly unable to be touched behind a glass panel.
